“You’re just wasting your time fangirling over kpop idols. Stop that.” – Myself before entering the Kpop world.
Before, I really don’t get it when my friends are giving so much effort to buy albums, posters, merchandises, and especially, concert tickets, which is expensive. They will let theirselves starve just to meet their money goals for their idols. In fact, I really do not understand how it feels to stan international artists because in those times, I only admired local artists.
In 2017, my bestfriend pushed me to watch Korean Dramas. She gave me a list of her favorites and guess what, until now, we are talking about our favorite Korean Dramas since I began liking it when I watched Descendants of the Sun, one of the greatest dramas I’ve seen.
What’s the connection of Korean Dramas to me being a ultimate fan of Super Junior?
Since I am more in Korean shows, I began to like Variety shows too. The first variety show that I’ve watched was Knowing Brothers where Heechul is part of it.
Kim Heechul, the crazy guy that I love the most, is the one who introduced me to my ultimates, Super Junior. I began watching their old performance in YouTube, stalking their social networking sites, searching them, and ofcourse, knowing some elfs.
I am really impressed on how they managed to stand together even though there are a lot of issues/accidents/problems that happened before. Even though I didn’t experience watching them complete, my love and support for all the members are special. My family and friends knew it all.
Until now, as part of baby elfs, I will support them no matter what happen because they all deserve to be happy and to feel love. They are working so hard just to perform well in front of their fans so giving back love and support will push away their hard times.
As now I’m in the Kpop World, I was wrong when I said that my friends are wasting their time just to support their idols because now, I know how it feels to be motivated by Super Junior and I know how it feels to be proud that I am part of the fandom, Elfs.
To Super Junior, let’s walk the same path forever. Saranghaeyo! 💙
